QuizPilot explanations now stream in word by word

The Pilot AI team

Every question in QuizPilot can show an AI explanation of why an answer is right. It is one of the features learners use most, because understanding beats memorizing. But the experience had a flaw: you tapped explain, waited, and then the whole paragraph appeared at once.

We changed that. Explanations now stream in word by word as they are generated, so you start reading immediately instead of staring at a spinner. It reads more like someone explaining the answer to you than a block of text being pasted in.

Getting the feel right took tuning. We started the stream at a 110ms cadence per word, watched it, and decided it lagged behind how fast people actually read. We sped it up to 70ms. Small number, real difference, and the kind of detail a small team can afford to sweat.

The same month, slides got a visible upgrade too: AI generated images with a daily quota, and a visual template picker that shows preview thumbnails in a simple two by two grid instead of asking you to guess from a name.

Streaming explanations are live in quiz play across QuizPilot. Open a quiz, miss a question on purpose, and tap explain to see it.
